Working in Fibers

Pincushions!

Fiber Postcard

Recently I was visiting my mother and she gave me a sack full of my grandmother's old scarves, handkerchiefs, and crocheted doilies. My mind is swirling with the possibilities of these babies!

More Gelli deliciousness

These two prints are part of new series using the fortunes saved from my fortune cookie stash

I haven't posted in ages ...

so I'm just going to throw up some photos of what's been keeping me busy.

Yes I've been a doodling, zentangling fool.

Blast from the Past

I found a painting of mine stashed away in a box. I didn't sign it but I think it was done in the late 80s/early 90s.

President's Day

I spent the holiday today playing with my Gelli plate.

Using my grid "stamp" ... it's actually a giant flyswatter!

I love printing on black cardstock - it always gives a wonderful texture to the print

The large swirls and the stars are homemade stamps made from foam sheets

Lot's going on here, love all the colors with the pop of white

Valentines is over but hearts never get old

This one could be titled "tangled," also, it's warm on the top and cool on the bottom. It's a mess!

The print itself was done a couple of weeks ago, today I added the doodles

Doodle Madness

It's time to switch to a new sketchbook so I thought I'd post some of the doodles I've down over the past couple of months.

who doesn't love a bold flower with a HUGE stem?!

Christmas tree?

Hearts

Another flower with a more normal stem but look at that grass!

This one should probably come out for Valentines Day

small spots of yellow bleed-thru, I like it anyway

Green!

Last night's TV watching

The thing is, I just can't sit and watch TV, I have to be doing something else. Sometimes it's doodling, but many times it's either reading on the internet, pinning on Pinterest, or playing a mindless computer game. Of all these activities I think the doodling is the most productive ... don't you?
